July 24, 1930, Green Berry Creekmore wrote: "Grand Father BACHELOR CREEKMORE
was a Shoe Maker by trade, and followed that trade pretty closely. Traviled
from house to house, from Neighborhood to neighborhood and made shoes for
every one wanting his services, and taken sick and died suddenly away from
home, 12 years or more before Grandmother died."

Mary Brown's relations to the family were resolved in a bible record listing
"Ballentine B. CREEKMORE son of Robert CREEKMORE married Mary BROWN Daughter
of Able BROWN." (Assuming this is the original record as copied in 1930
without correction or addition. Jennie (Creekmore) Foster copied the record
which was then in posession of Mrs. Anna Baker.)
        The above from Mabel H. Thornton's notes on the Creekmore family

"In 1860 Mary (BROWN) CREEKMORE made her home with Mary (CREEKMORE)
CORDELL in Scott Co., TN. The family bible record shows that Mary (BROWN)
CREEKMORE died Jan 12, 1863. The place of burial of Ballentine B. or wife Mary
is not known to this compiler."
