         Obituary for Yvonne M. Maddox

                   Astoria Resident

         Yvonne M. Maddox, 58, of Astoria, died friday, Nov. 9, in Astoria.
         Mrs. Maddox was born 24 Aug. 1936, in Yakima, Wash., to Ralph and Irene Shelly Emerson.  She was raised in the Seattle area,  and was  educated there. She lived in Boston three years, moving to  Oregon in1968.  For the last several years, Astoria was her home.  She  married Jim Guritz.  He survives.
         Mrs. Maddox will be remembered as being fond of her chihuahua puppy,  "Lucky in Love Guritz".
         She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Eagles Auxiliary and the Seaside Moose Auxiliary.
         In addition to her husband, Mrs. Maddox is survived by a daughter, Melinda Lee Humphery of Modesto, California.  one brother,  Jim Emerson of Seattle, and a sister, Janet Chance of Modesto.
         At her request there will be no service.  Disposition was private.
         Memorial contributions may be made to Astoria Eagles   Lodge or the charity of ones choice.
Caldwell's Luce Layton Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
