From message on HIATT BOARD, Internet, 28 Jan 2003. I'm looking for information on my 3rd Great Grandmother. Her name was Anna Morse Sivage, widow of John SIVAGE. She was born ca. 1797, first widowed in 1836, and married Robert HIATT, April 12, 1838 in Perquimans Co., NC. They then moved to Guilford Co, NC near Greensboro. Robert HIATT supposedly had a brother by the name of HANS. Robert HIATT died of pneumonia ca. 1850 in Guilford Co., NC and his widow, Anna, along with their two surviving sons, James Poole HIATT and Marion Francis HIATT, (there was a daughter, Sarah, who died young.) moved to Hendricks Co., IN to be near the grown children of Anna's first marriage to John Sivage. Robert and Anna Morse SIVAGE HIATT were Conservative Friends and raised their children in that faith. Any information would be appreciated. Tracy Chapman Jones.
