Moved to Indiana 1850-51, Iowa 1856, later took up government land in Guthrie Co. Iowa in area now Stuart, Iowa. Moved to California in 1883 to Los Angeles and then to Pasadena.Death Cert.,D.A.R.burial records, "Hadley Family History" and from Donald McCollum, dec. of Thomas, brother of Isaac.

Mary Jane MC COLLUM

McCollum and Eunice McCollum with child Mary Jane moving to Three Rivers, Iowa in 1856 - Mary Jane possibly living with Joseph & Matilda McCollun in 1860 Census of Indiana - child named Mary of right age living in household of Joseph McCollum.

Family records and conversation never refered to this first child of Isaac
and Eunice Hadley although 2nd child of this marriage , Rachel (Elmina) lived
with family of 2nd marriage and was thought to be child of 2nd marriage by
family.  Only reference found to Mary Jane was in History of Merced County.
John C. McCollum stated that he was one of 6 childen, one who had moved to
Spokane, WA. This history was dated 1924.

Rachael Elmina "Mina" MC COLLUM

DOCUMENTATION: listed in 1860 Indiana census with father Isaac K.McCollum as
Rachel L. age 2.  All family records and 1900 census give name as Elmina,
possible her middle name, with the initial L. in 1860 census in error. Elmina
was a nurse and never married.
