Asher HIATT

Asher Hiatt, son of Christopher Hiatt, Jr., born 7-7-1803 near Guilford County, Courthouse in North Carolina married and had two children, They were Chambers Hiatt, and Elizabeth Hiatt.  Chambers Hiatt, son of Asher Hiatt, married Nancy McKibben.  They had one child, a girl, named Lida Hiatt; Lida Hiatt married Frank Randall.  Chambers Hiatt was a lover of fine horses, he owned two teams of well matched saddle and driving horses.  They were the center of attraction wherever he exhibited then.  They were pure white.  Chambers Hiatt lived with His grandfather Christopher Hiatt, Jr.  for a number of years.  After the death of Chambers Hiatt, his widow married a merchant by the name of Arnold.  Elizabeth “Beth”  Hiatt, daughter of Asher Hiatt and sister of Chambers Hiatt, married a Mr. Turner, Their children were: Asher Hiatt Turner, Narcissa Turner, Rosina Turner, Mary Ellen Turner, and some younger children.

Anna HIATT

Anna Hiatt disowned 21 May 1832, Newberry MM, Ohio, mou.  Some Quaker
Families Vol I. page 365.  Is thought to have other children.

"Genealogy of our branch of the Quaker Hiatts" was written by Major William Edwin Hiatt; he completed it on June 15, 1950.

Anna Hiatt, daughter of Christopher Hiatt, Jr., married Sampson Wright, a brother of James Wright.  They had 2 children, Marion Wright, and Melissa Wright.  No further record of Marion.

James WRIGHT

   Sent by Bernice Norris.  James married 2nd to Mary Jane West on 25 Mar 1844, Mary Jane is D/o James West and Elizabeth Leggett.  James is brother of Sampson Wright who married Anna Hiatt, sister of Elizabeth.  See Vol I page 364 Some Quaker Families.  On 25 July 1812 James recrq Fairfield MM, Ohio. On 24 December 1812 charter member Clear Creek MM, Highland Co., Ohio.  On 2 December 1816 charter member Newberry MM, Clinton Co., Ohio.  On 25 Nov 1830 both disowned for joining the Hicksite Friends.  They lived in Martinsville, Clinton Co., Ohio.
