Another DOB is Jaunary 20, 1789.
Rebecca's sister, Sydney,  married the Carrol that signed the Declaration of Independence.  (This oral history is in question.)

The Edwards/Gill/Carrol families were "socially well connected".  From The History Of Pike County, illinois.

The 1850 census shows Rebecca Cameron, age 60,  in the household of of John and Martha Edwards.

He must have been an individualist.  He spelled his name with a "U", Yokum. His children and his parents used an "E", Yokem.

William Edmunds WEAVER

William served with the Union Army in the Civil War. His name with his brother Charles, who served with the Confederacy, are on a monument in Jacksonville, Illinois.  Per the Jacksonville Area Genealogical And Historical Society.
