Lemuel was a carpenter and made his own concrete blocks to build homes and farm buildings, he also had several farms. Lemuel and Florence lived in Hortonville, Hamilton County, Indiana, it was their last homestead.
Florence continued living in her home after Lemuel died, and lived to be 93 years old. She was fixing breakfast on the 31st of Jan. 1972 when she had a heart attack and died.
