Shirley Dinwiddie Scott of Florance, Montana found that Thomas died of an
"infected foot followed by Gangreen".
His death certificate says that he was 76 yrs. 1 mont and 27 day old at his
death.
Also found names spelled Lula Dinwiddie in the records of Nancy Trapnell of
Mesa, AZ.
William became guardian for his brothers children Caroline, Robert C., and
Elizabeth I. Dinwiddie, 1 December 1857. He was also made the trusteed of their
inheritence, the sum of $2000.William was a busy man. He was a farmer and had a large farm. Records in
Clarksville, Montgomery, Tennessee show that he was a tobacco inspector. He
was also a Methodist Episcopal Church South minister.
