William May came to Nebraska from Indiana because Lozetta Hiatt May's sister
(Adaline Hiatt) had married Sam Brown and the Brown's wanted William and
Lozetta to come to Nebraska and homestead(Walt May)William May was cutting sod for a house either for them or a neighbor when the
blizzard of 1894 hit and they barely made it back to their existing home.
Lived along a creek(Muddy) west of Ansley, Nebraska(Walt May)William and Lozetta May spent their early married life on a farm near Rigdon,
Indiana and in the fall of 1887 they moved to Georgetown Nebr. and then to
Janesville Nebr. In 1898 they moved to a farm near Harlan, Iowa and in the
spring of 1901 to a farm near Casey, Iowa. In 1904 when conditions of health
of Mr and Mrs Elihu Hiatt, parents of Lozetta May became very serious they
moved to Conrad, Iowa.William May died of Ulcers.
