Obituary
John Marcus Neill, 73 died Oct 26, 1922 and had been a resident
of this area since 1866. He was a native of Tennesse and came
with his parents to Arkansas in 1860 and six years later moved
to Missouri. Mr. Neill was married to Anna C. Peters Feb 03,
1878 and to this union were born seven children all of whom
with his widow survive him. The children are Marvin Neill of
Wheaton, Mo, Alvin, Claude, Edgar, and Miss Millie Neill of
Crane, Mrs. Ella Smallwood of Crane and Mrs Berthia Cope of
Flat Creek. He is also survived by three sisters Mrs. L. J.
Forbis, Crane, Mrs. F. A. Leemaster, Hominy Okla. and Mrs. J.
M. Davidson of Exeter. Mr. Neill was a member of the Cumberland
Presbyterian church and had lived a exemplary life. Funeral
services were conducted at the Presbyterian church Friday
afternoon by Rev. Raymond Jinkerson of Shambaugh La. and burial
was in Masonic Cemetery Crane, Missouri.

Claude A. Neill, 82, a well - known farmer in this community,
died Tuesday night at his home on Route 1. He is survived by
his wife, Inez; a Son, Ernest, Columbia; three sisters, Miss
Millie Neill and Mrs. Bertha Cope, both of Route 1, Crane, and
Mrs. Ella Smallwood, Wheaton; a brother Alvin, Route 1, Crane,
and a granddaughter Janis. Funeral servlces were at 2 p.m.
Thursday, in the First Church of God, of which he was a member,
with the Rev. Richard Alexander officiating. Burial, under
direction of Manlove, was in the Masonic cemetery here.
