Arthur Dean (Richard) (Buddy) HIATT Jr.

   Arthur had one son.   According to Charles Holbrook of Los Angeles, Calif.  Arthur had a son named Richard ? Arthur Dean Jr.? who had one girl.
     Had a daughter Vicky who was 20 years younger then Beverly.  The family was not close, Vicky lives in Oregon.  She has a son and daughter and grandchildren.

I want to let you know Beverly is very ill.She has been in the hospital for a month now and I'm not sure when she will be comming home.She had pneumonia and cancer and has not been doing very well,she is really having a tough time. Please keep her in your prayers.  Thank You  Sharron

Rosetta "Zetta" Clementine HIATT

   20 Aug 2000, message on HIATT GENFORUM, from Bonnie, looking for information on the families of Rosetta, had dates of birth, death and marriage, to exchange for info on the rest of the families of Rosetta, her brothers and sisters.  She was the only family member of brothers and sisters not able to attend her step mothers funeral in Moravia, Iowa. Was living in Washington state at the time, 1927, a widow.

John Allen HIATT Sr.

Larry is not sure that John Allen Hiatt is the right line.  He has found a
census that list John Allen.  In the Hiatt-Hiett book he is listed as Allen
Hiatt.
   John Allen Hiatt, the son of Enos and Hannah Hayworth Hiatt was born in
Appanoose Co., Iowa April 1, 1863 and departed this life at the Woodland
Nursing Home in Des Moines, Iowa on April 25, 1954 at the age of 91 years, 18
days.
  He had been in failing health the past 8 years and critically ill since Mid March when his leg had to be amputated, following infection in his foot.  Allen was married Dec 15, 1884 to Minnie Young, who died March 15, 1915.  Four children were born to this union, John Allen who died in infancy, Frank V. who passed away Feb 13, 1950, Wilbert of Ottumwa, Mrs. Cleo Mock of Des Moines, Iowa.
   In later years following the death of his wife he was married to Ella Hiatt who preceded him in death.
  Allen for more than 50 years followed the harvesting of grain, operating the threshing machine.  For a number of years, being skilled in electronics, he was employed by the I.S.U. of Centerville, Iowa.
  Mr. Hiatt had lived in and around Moravia, Iowa all of life except the past 11 years when he made his home with his daughter in Des Moines, Iowa.
  Also surviving the two children are five grandchildren and 7 great
grandchildren two half brother Emery and Fred Hiatt and a sister Mrs. R.J.
Raney, Centerville, Iowa and half sister Mrs. Iva Wood, Winner, South Dakota.
  He was a kind and loving husband and father and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
  Pallbearers were: Theo Miller, Clarence Miller, Harold Hoffman, Boyd
Runnells, Harold Burton, Curtis Burton.
  Funeral services were held at the Turner Funeral Home, Moravia, Iowa.
Tuesday April 27th at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Grenfell officiating.  Burial
was in the Moravia Cem., Moravia, Iowa.
