DOCK NEILL CEMETERY

Located 3/4 of a mile west of Double Springs on Hwy 56A on a

hillside left

of the highway just before a small bridge.  Harrison Hodge

"Dock" Neill  and

Cassander Volander King Neill are buried in an open field behind

their old

home place, where they reared 12 or 13 children.  In June of

1984 Gordon

Neill is the only child living.

MINUTES OF BIG SPRING PRIMITIVE BAPTIST CHURCH

Church Records for the  Year 1831

March Second Saturday 1831. Church met at Big Spring and after

worship  proceeded to business. 1st The reference relative to

Ruebin Rose attended  too and satisfaction obtained. 2nd

Received a petition from our sister  church at the Head of

Barren Creek for help and appointed Brethren Joseph  Neil and

Thomas Hurst to attend the 4th Saturday in March.
