Marjorie Milner, 'Additions to PICKENS FAMILIES OF THE SOUTH':
"Monte PICKENS Jr, had several daughters, three of whom I met in 1931 or
1932 when the PICKENS sisters were singing in Washington. They were then based
in New York with their mother for their singing career while their father,
working for a railroad, continued in Atlanta. He had to come to Washington to
see them at the time we met them..."

Marjorie Milner, 'Additions to PICKENS FAMILIES OF THE SOUTH':
 p. 2. "Jane ... was a widow living in New York area 1967 (New York Times, 6
Aug 1967, article entitled 'Multimillionaires Can Afford Idiosyncrasies in
Economizing' - names her late husband who left her a fortune, and refers to
her mansion in Newport, her house in Jamaica, and her apartment in New York. I
recall when we met, her saying she had never heard of any PICKENSes who had
money.)
They are reported to have had a child. (Carrie PICKENS STARRATT reported
before 1961 seeing her on a TV appeal for one of the organizations fro special
disorders, said she had heard Jane had an afflicted child.)"
