 While visiting the Lawrence County Archives, I found the following: PUBLIC
RECORDS OF PENSIONS, By Act of The Legislature, Approved February 10th, 1899,
LAWRENCE COUNTY, ALABAMA 1901:
  KEY, TANDY: Private in Company E, Stewart's Battalion. Enlisted in July,
1862. Age 83. Address; Moulton, Alabama.
  I still don't really know for sure if this is CSA or Union, but I assume it
was CSA.
 There was also a Stephen Key listed as a private in Company C, 5th Regimanet
of _____  (not filled in). Enlisted on March 13, _____ (not filled in). Address;
Town Creek, Ala.
