County, about six miles northwest of Marion KY.

p. 61. "...[md] Rebecca (BARLOW) PICKENS, widow of his brother John A.
PICKENS. William Gabriel sold him some slaves, and some land. Between 1830-36
William K. PICKENS went into court and made oath that he was a cousin of one
John PICKENS who had lived in the county and who had died leaving two sons,
Christopher C. PICKENS and Alfred PICKENS who where then 21 years of age. On
April 6, 1835 William K. PICKENS was granted license to operate a ferry across
the Cumberland River. Surety on his bond was his brother, Handy G. PICKENS.
There is no other record of William K. PICKENS in Livingston County. He may have
