From Bob Thompson:
See Estate of Andrew MILLER, Box 64 Pack. 1520 Abbeville Courthouse SC 1802
Administrators of Estate were Ebenezer MILLER, Joseph MILLER and Andrew BOWIE.
Elizabeth MILLER wife of Andrew MILLER relinquished her right of adminstration
to Ebenezer MILLER 5 Oct 1802. Estate was opened on 6 Oct 1802 and settled on 6
Oct 1818. At time of settlement the legatees were Robert MILLER, John S. MILLER,
Jane S. or L. MILLER and Margaret MILLER.
.............
 "Moved to Concordia Parish, La.
See Lee Corley Hendrix family group sheet.
"Andrew Miller probably died shortly before the Abbeville County SC Census was
taken as Elizabeth MILLER is listed alone. If he left his wife a life's estate
unless she remarried, this would account for the estate not being probated until
1802. It was at this time that Elizabeth (DEFOUR) MILLER was contemplating
marriage with William HADDEN and the Administration went to Ebenezer MILLER, her
brother-in law.

PICKENS FAMILIES OF THE SOUTH, by E. M. Sharp (priv. pub. 1963).
 p. 31.  "[Andrew] appears to have died in Abbeville Dist. SC in 1802 where his
estate was administered by Ebenezer MILLER his brother, and Joseph MILLER, a
brother, and by Andrew BOWIE. Administration made Oct. 6, 1802. Final settlement
on Oct. 6, 1818. Children named in the papers: Robert MILLER; John S. MILLER;
Jane MILLER; Margaret MILLER.
Family traditions indicate that some of them went to Louisiana and lived in
Concordia Parish, across the river from Natchez."

From Bob Thompson:
Lee Corley Hendrix family group sheet for Andrew Miller lists wife as
Elizabeth Defour--daughter of Andrew Defour and Elizabeth Robinson. Her second
husband, after Andrew Miller, was William Haddon.  Source for wife's last
name: LDS Microfilm Call No. 594-555.  Leonardas Andres Genealogical
Collection. Miller File IV, p. 20. Reference #73a item 44-996.
Information from Diary kept byMrs. Ebenezer Smith of Rush Count, Ind. She
states that she wasnee Mary   Ann Haddon, born in Abbeville Co. SC in
1809..that Andrew Haddon, my brother, was born in 1806, the sone of Elizabeth
Miller and William Haddon. That my brother Andrew Haddon was named after his
grandfather Andrew Miller & she had uncles Ebenezer Miller and Andrew Miller.
That her maternal grandparens were Elizabeth Robinson & Andrew Defoor.
Note, gch: MaryAnn Haddon's mother had first married Andrew Miller. Ebenezer
Miller became guardian of his brother, Andrew's children. The family
relationship to Mary Ann Haddon was not a blood relationship, but one to her
half brothers and sisters.

From Bob Thompson:
"...I presume you have heard of the death of cousin Jane Price, Cousin
Stephen Miller, and Cousin Robert.  They all died since I came home, Cousin
Jane8  died with twelve hours sickness, and left two little children and Mr.
Price has taken them to his fathers, and Mother has taken Uncle Joseph's two
little daughters, Rebecca, and Zilpah9 , and it's thought that Cousin
Stephen10  died with the cholera, on his way from New Orleans home, but Cousin
Robert's11  death was a shocking affair, he was shot by a trifling gambling
scoundrel, and died in eight hours after; and his Brother John Sample12  has
moved over and taken possession of every thing, he says he inte nds being
appointed guardian for his sister that is living with Mother, but he is in as
much need of a guardian as she is, for he is a wild Harum Scarum fellow,
Mother and Brother Phil13  went over the river last week to see some thing
about Roberts affairs but John was not there and they could not do any thing.
Mother says she wishes you to tell Cousin Andrew, please to ask Uncle if ever
he gave little Robert any money or any thing for Peggy14 .  She says she

John S. Miller was appointed curator of the absent heirs of the succession
of Robert Miller--bond dated 3 Jun 1833
James Miller appointed curator of estate of Robert Miller, Bond dated 21 Dec

Robert Miller, son of Andrew, is presumed to be the Robert Miller Junior
referred to in various Concordia Parish documents between 1821 and 1831.
Mortgage from Robert Miller to Natt & Cotten, Rodney, Miss. dated 17 Feb
1831: cotton plantation containing 422 acres on west margin of Miss. River

Miller now resides, and eighteen slaves on such plantation (all named).

& which may be raised upon the said plantation during the present year.
