Subject: John Kerr family
Terry, I saw my Kerr family listed in your pages. I descend from John Kerr's
son Robert Kerr b. 1718 d. 1789 Mecklenburg Co., NC, through Robert's son John
Kerr b. 1756 d. 1780 Mecklenburg Co., NC. I would like to have any documentation
from your source notes on these men such as birth, death, wills, etc. I'm almost
afraid to jump to the conclusion that the above named men are my ancesters,
however, my John Kerr died shortly before 1784 in Mecklenburg Co., NC and I had
guessed his birth at about 1750. There was another John Kerr that died there in
1789 but I have proved that he was not my ancester. The John that died abt 1784
was definitely my ancester. Your sources of documentation on these men would be
greatly appreciated. I was elated when I read your pages. It was recommended to
me by Christopher Powell, who is also a Kerr researcher.
Thank You, Harry O. Alvis
