"I am a Pickens descendant... I am ... interested in finding out anything
you could tell me about the BRAGGs. My great grand mother was Sarah Amanda
Adeline PICKENS (she is listed as Amanda A. in the Sharp book). Her mother was
Martha Jane BRAGG, born 1832, married David R. PICKENS in Sullivan Co., Tenn.
I have the names of her siblings but that is all I know of her, I do not even
know her parents names. I noticed that there was an Annie Bragg that married
William PICKENS, born 1-18-1784, he is the father of John P. who was the
father to David R. If you have any information on the BRAGGs I certainly
would appreciate it. I was told by an Aunt that Martha BRAGG's uncle married
the Thomas Jefferson's sister. I recently found some cousins (they are my
ggrandmother Sarah's brother Thomas Jefferson's decendant) who also said that
they were related to Thomas Jefferson but they didn't know how...."
