James E. HIATT

James Hiatt rites planned

Greenwood - James E. Hiatt, 54, a driver for Stokely Van Camp, died Thursday at the University Heights Hospital in Indianapolis, following an illness of one month. He resided on Greenwood, route 4.

The funeral service will be Sunday at 2:00 P. M. from the J. C. Wilson Greenwood Chapel, U. S. 31 and Main St., with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Arnold will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:00 P. M. Friday.

Mr. Hiatt was born June 23, 1914, in Morgan County, the son of William and Mary Davee Hiatt. He lived in Morgan (penciled in here is Johnson) for the most part of his life.

His memberships include the Mount Pleasant Christian Church, Brooklyn Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Marat Shrine, and the BargersvilleOrder of Eastern Star.

He is survived by the wife, Mary Mae (Burkhart) Hiatt; one daughter, Sharon Williams; one son, Jimmy Hiatt; and the mother, oll of Greenwood, route 4.

Also surviving are three brothers, William Hiatt of Indianapolis, John and Charles Hiatt of Stuart, Florida, and several nieces and nephews.

Sturat - John Henry hiatt, 66, of 458 S. W. St. Lucie St., Stuart, died Friday, June 18, in Martin Memorial Hospital.

A native of Morgan County, Indiana, he had been a resident of Stuart for the past 18 years, coming from Monticello, Ind.

He was a farmer and a member of the North Park Lodge 646 F. & A. M., Indianapolis, Ind.

Survivors include his wife, Golda, Stuart; two brothers, William E., Greenwood, Ind., and Charles, Jupiter; and several nieces and nephews.

Golda Gardner Hiatt, 78, Stuart, Fla., formerly of greenwood died Wednesday in Stuart. Services will be at 1 p.m. today in Aycock Funeral Home, Stuart. She was born in Scott County and had lived in Greenwood for 58 years. She was the widow of John Henry Hiatt. Survivors: sisters, Olive Goodpasture, Vera Lynch and Lois Tolbert.
