Kenneth Jacob Snider was hit by a car and died from injuries.

Following information from newspaper clipping La Porte City, IA: "Funeral
services were held Sunday afternoon [8 Jul 1934]  in the home of Mr & Mrs
Wm Sawyer for L B Clark, who passed away at his home in Pasadena, CA, [2
Jul 1934]. The body arrived on the morning train and was taken to the
Sawyer home.  At three o'clock a short prayer service was held after which
the body was taken to the Sawyer cemetery in Spring Creek township for
burial.  The service at both the home and cemetery was conducted by Rev C
D James, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church.  The deceased is
survived by a wife and one daughter. Mrs Dan Lanning (nee Minnie Arene
Clark), a sister of the deceased, accompanied the remains to this city,
Mrs Clark (nee Sedalia Lillian Sawyer) being unable to come on account of
illness.  Mrs Fronah Shaw, another sister, and two children of Chicago,
were also here to attend the funeral service."  Prior services were held
in Pasadena at the Turner & Stevens Chapel, Marengo Ave, on July 5, 1934,
conducted by Dr. Merle N Smith.  Notations in () inserted for clarity.

Della SAWYER

From information printed in local newspaper clippings, Della had been sick
with a cold about four weeks prior to her death.  About two weeks prior to
Dec 6th, she was in bed with pneumonia and "other complications set in."
From a telegram sent by F. Austin Bradfield, brother-in-law of Della on
the evening prior to Della's death to E. Sawyer (Della's father), State
Normal Boarding House, Cedar Falls, Ia, it contains the following
information; "Dell has appendicitis Do not think will live Operation
performed tonight.(Signed) F.A. Bradfield." At that time, Dell's parents
were enroute to California to spend the winter.  Other excerpts from these
clippings follow: Della Sawyer was born in Black Hawk county, near her
late home, on September 3, 1857, and has always lived near the place of
her birth.  On July 29, 1882 she was united in marriage to L. B. Clark,
who with one daughter, Miss Golda, aged 11 years, is left to mourn her
departure.  Besides the husband and daughter she leaves behind, a father
and mother, Mr. & Mrs. E. Sawyer, of Sioux Falls, SD, and three brothers,
Will(iam), of this place, Walter of Sioux Falls, SD, and Harve of Oregon,
