Erse Cleona BARRETT

Cont from Born Source Note: "at an early age fo three years in duet with
her brother.  She was widely known throughout Pottawatomie County for her
musical talent and her willingness to use it for the pleasure and
inspiration of others.  For many years she played the organ and piano in
the Presbyterian church of Wamego and was musician for the Women's Relief
Corps and other organizations.  She was active in the Martha Society of
the Presbyterian Church as long as her health permitted and was a loyal
member of the Women's Relief Corps of Wamego and of the Fraternal Aid
Union.  She will be greatly missed by her children, her close neighbors
and many friends of the Wamego community.  Funeral services were held
Friday afternoon  at 3:00 o'clock from the Stewart Funeral Home, Rev E L
Brown conducting the service.  Mrs H H Ruehmann sang as a solo, "The Lost
Chord" and a quartet composed of Mrs Ruehmann, Mrs Neal Weybrew, Harold
and Glenn Stewart, sang the hymn "Beautiful Isle" and Mrs O W Noe
accompanied the songs at the piano.  Friends of the family, H A Long, O O
Gagnell, Ross Deweese, Ed Miller, Jay Hill and A M Bittmann carried the
casket to the grave in Wamego Cemet
