of as 'being butted and bounded on the northeast side of Hollandebrook by the

Margaret was probably the daughter of John Hoffman of Lebanon, mentioned in Dr.
Hubert Schmidt's "The Germans of Colonial New Jersey". This John Hoffman, says
Dr. Schmidt, came to Lebanon from Schoharie County, NY and had children: Peter,
John, George, "Margaret", Sarah, Henry, Anna Juliana, Elise Catherine, Joseph,
Elizabeth and Jacob. (Ramsey Family history) ?? See also Snell HHSC p 472.Very tricky. Ramsey fam hist and "Early Germans of NJ" indicates that Margaret
dau of John Hoffman and Anna Dils married James Ramsey. Groendyke chart shows
same with Anna 'Dilts'. Old lebanon ref cem shows tombstone for John Huffman
(d 2 Jul 1801, in 69th yr) and wife Ann Dils (d. 8 Mar 1837, aged 84.11.20)
Don't really know the parentage of margaret went with the one as indicated as
it was one on Groendyke chart and because it was indicatd in Early Germans of
NJ. Maybe person who recorded tombstones made a mistake. Am inclined to think
Margaret father was named 'Huffman'.
