the son of Henri but was the son of Henri's cousin, Crispin. Henri was
only married to Gertrude Bornstra for a short period of time before he
sailed for New Amsterdam. He died in 1637 of the fever off the coast of
Virginia. It is possible that during the three months they were together
he could have fathered a child, but it is unlikely.
Gerald had a son named Crispin who was
married on 1 July 1636 at Amsterdam to Marguerite BORNSTRA. At the same wedding
Crispin's cousin, Henri, married Marguerite's sister."

His widow married Dominique Garaut."There is some discrepancy on whether this is Etienne or Antoine Hebert. If it was Antoine, his wife would be Genevieve LeFranc. This warrants further research.
