(1608-1760), Tome I, by the Institute Genealogique Drouins, 4284 rue St. Denis,
Montreal Canada, page 546. It states that Gabriel Godin, son of Pierre Godin
and Jeanne Rousseliere married on 24 Juillet 1690 at Quebec Andree Angelique
Joannes, the daughter of Robert Joannes and Francoise Savard.
In Acadian Descendants, by Janet Jehn 1975, it is reported Gabriel
Godin dir Sieur de Bellefontaine, son of Pierre Godin and Jeanne Rousseliere
maried Marie Angelique Josne of Beaubassin. The Josne name also has been
spelled Joannes. Robert Joannes son of Ives and Marie (Duchesne) of Sieur,
Rouen married at Quebec 1655 to Francoise Savard, daughter of Simon and Marie
Hurdouil of St Esper de Melin Snas, Champagne France."
