John BRISTOW

John Bristow lived in Middlesex County, Virginia. He was married first to
Michal Nichols and second to Mary Carter.  He was the emigrant. As a fourteen
year old he was sentenced to serve a perod of seven years of apprenticeship. He
had eight childern by his first wife, Michal Nichols and three by his second
wife, Mary Carter.  His will was probated 6 Nov 1716  The ancestral home of the
Bristows was in the vicinity of Ayot St. Lawrence, a village midway between
London and Oxford. The first record of John Bristow was in the Lancaster
County, Virginia page 264, dated the 10th Feb 1663 which says: "John Bristow
svnt to John Hughes coming into this country without indenture & appearing to
this Cort is ordered to  serve seven years from his arrival".
