  George was preisdent of C.B.R.E. union in Drumheller Alta.  He transferred
to The Pas, Manitoba, in Oct 1944.  He started the C.N. Rly Curling Club and
was the President of that organization. He joined the Anglison church and
became involed in the Vestry, holding different positions.  He was also
involued in getting a new church Hall built as an addition to the church.  He
also ran for Town Councillor and was elected for 4 turns.  He retired in 1967
after 47 years service on the railroad.
