(1) Valentine Hatfield died in the State Prison at Frankfort, Kentucky.


Johnson HATFIELD

Historical Notes:

(1) Johnson Hatfield was sentenced to prison for life in Kentucky, but pardoned
thereafter in a few years.  He became a land agent in Logan County, West
Virginia for U.S. Steel, Coal and Coke.  He died of a heart attack while riding
a horse on Ben's Creek.


William Anderson HATFIELD
