Richard DE TRENANCE

(1) Coat of Arms: Sable, a fesse between three swords erect, argent.

(2) Trenance, or De Trenant, is an ancient Cornish family.  The name of Luca de
Trenance appears in an old document of 1306.  In 1382 Richard Trenance granted
to John Colyn his messuages in Peneton for twelve years.


Stephen TREWARTHENICK

(1) Coat of Arms: Argent, a chevron and border, indented gules.

(2) Very little is known of the family of Trewythynnyk, which is now extinct,
who appear to have taken their name from a barton called Trethenak or
Trewethenack, now Trennack, which descended to the Carminows through the
Trenowths.  Roger Trewythenick was one of the King's Justices at an assize held
at Penryn in 1402.


John TREVANION (Sir)

(1) Coat of Arms: Agent, on a fesse azure, between two chevrons, gules, three
escallop shells or.

(2) Sir John Trevanion was of Trevanion, in Carhayes, six generations before
the reign of Edward IV.  The name became extinct in the male line in 1767 by
the death of William Trevannion, Esq., great grandfather of Lord Byron.
