Herbert was christened in Aug 1910, in the Methodist Church at Lovelock, Nevada.
Karen Wilson's records show Mildred and Herbert endowed on separate days in

just man, and he will increase in learning. Proverbs 9:9Always interested, ever learning, but first and foremost a teacher, Herbert J. White has left an impressive legacy at his passing on March 25, 1999. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Hiatt, and survived by his loving wife of twelve years, Cornella Hill.
Herbert has been called a "jack of all trades and master of many." Some of the skills and accomplishments he has blessed his family with include woodcarving, carpentry, jewelry making and lapidary. He taught in the public schools for over thirty years. He was also known as an inventor, beekeeper, farmer, handyman and rock hound.
Herbert J. White was a man of honor, integrity and positive work ethics. He has set a wonderful example for his surviving six children, 32 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. He has left an indelible impression on us all.
It was Mildred's wish that someday Herb would join the LDS Church. He had let her raise the children in her faith. He said that he beleived everything that the Church taught, except for the Joseph Smith part. He was finally baptized on 5 March 1983. Herb & Mildred were married in the Manti Temple on 11 April 1986 and sealed to her at the same time. Sadly, Mildred died 17 months later.
