Joseph was a plasterer and service station attendant. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
OBITUARY: Joseph William Hiatt, 65, a plaster and service station attendant died May 11 at his home at 1122 East Twelfth.
He was born May 30, 1892, at Wilbur and moved to Cambridge at an early age. In 1942 he brought his family to North Platte.
He was married Dec. 22, 1915, to Dora Henry of Cambridge. The couple had three children, two of whom preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors are the widow Dora, Son Melvin E. Hiatt of North Platte; three brothers, Nathan of Toppenish, Wash.; Lennie of Longview, Wash.; and Donald of Nampa, Idaho; four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Fisher of Imperial, Mrs. Hattie Siefken of Crescent, Iowa; Mrs. Kate White of Omaha and Mrs. Dorothy Unruh of Colorado.
A granddaughter, Mrs. Jacqueline Tyan, has made her home with her grandparents since she was a year and a half old. Other survivors are five other grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

OBITUARY: Dora Mae Hiatt, 70, of 1122 E. 12th, died Sunday in a local hospital. Services will be held at 10 A.M. Tuesday in the Adams - Swanson Chapel with the Rev. Clyde King of the Assembly of God Church conduction the services.
Mrs. Hiatt was born Oct. 16, 1896, in Arapahoe. She was a long time resident of the Cambridge area and moved to North Platte in 1941.
Survivors include one son, Melvin of North Platte; one brother, Russell Henry of North Platte; one sister, Mrs. Inez Cooper of Imperial; and four grandchildren.
Adams-Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in the Cambridge Cemetery.

Sent by B. CORDER OBITUARY: LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Bessie E. Hiatt Fisher died Sunday (April 9, 1989) at a hospital in Las Vegas, Nev., at the age of 91. She was born in Cambridge to Nathan and Mary Elizabeth Hiatt on Oct. 27, 1897.
She attended school in Cambridge.
She married George Andrew Fisher March 29, 1916, in Danbury. They owned a produce store in Imperial. She continued to operate the store after her husband's death in 1960.
She lived in McCook, Trenton and Indianola before moving to Las Vegas in 1978.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include three daughters, Ella DeMark of Colorado Springs, Colo., Erma Hisel of Seattle, Wash., and Mary Maranville of Las Vegas; three sons, Eldwin of Hector, Ark., Everett of McCook and Andrew J. of Vancouver, Wash.; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 11 A.M. at the Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home in McCook with Gloria Robert officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be addressed in her name and left at the funeral home.
