Historical Notes:
(1) Philip Bush was a Lieutenant in the Orange County, Virginia militia in
1734. He died prior to September 24th, 1772 in Orange County Virginia, his
will was witnessed by James Madison, father of President Madison.(2) Philip and his wife Mary establised an Inn in Orange County Virginia, and
became quite prominent in the area. He served on the first Grand Jury, which
was convened in 1735.
