Eli SHIELDS

Eli Shields was a sergeant in Company H of the 85th Illinois Voluntary Infantry. He died in the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain. He enlisted 6 August 1862 in Fulton County, Illinois and was mustered into service as a sergeant.
