Larry,
Do you still have your CD's available for sale regarding the SHIELDS history? Are you applying for the Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery Descendant project?I am not in the direct line of John SHIELDS of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, but I am applying collateral. I have hit a brick wall - my line is William SHIELDS m. Mary Polly Matthews, m. 2nd, Elizabeth English. The English History states that my William SHIELDS was the son of David SHIELDS and Rachel Waddell. However, proving it has not been very easy. David SHIELDS was the son of William SHIELDS and Jane Bentley, so my line comes down to John Edgar SHIELDS, brother to James, 1633, both sons of William. (1600).
I would be very interested in your CD's, particularly if you have information on any of the above. Thanks for the help. Bettye Parker (my gr-gr- grandfather was William SHIELDS - Elizabeth English)
