Zimmerman Funeral Home records (Lewiston, Illinois) for 30 Jan 1908 to 13 July 1936 show a Robert Lee Shields died 25 Nov 1929 at East Peoria, Illinois.

Robert Lee ShieldsRobert Lee Shields (the family Bible says Lea) was born 29 Apr 1863 to Robert and Eliza E. Shields. This is according to the family Bible. He was born in Sevier Co. TN. He married P. A. Massey on the 25 June 1888 in Sevier Co. TN. They were married by Levi Branson, Minister of the Gospel.(verified by copy of the marriage cert.)
The family Bible of Robert and Eliza Shields was apparently passed probably to Robert Lee Shields first and on to his daughter Frankie as on one page it says that this book belongs to Frankie Shields. In the Bible or along with the Bible was a sheet on Robert Lee's family. It gave the following information:

The census records of 1900, shows Robert and Patsy had six children born and 4 were living. The only one the Bible information accounts for is Dellie. (died in 1893 or 9)
The 1900 census 13th Civil District of Sevier Co. TN taken the 19 & 20 of June shows: Robert L. Shields age 37, born in March 1863, married ll yrs., he was born in TN., his father in S.C. and his mother in N C, a fanner and owns his land. His wife Pollie E. M. age 30, married 11 yrs., born in June 1867, had 6 children, 4 living, was born in NC her parents born in N.C. Children: Brigham J Shields age 9 son, born June 1890, he and his father born in TN and his mother in born in NC, Laura D. Shields, dau, age 6, born March 1894 in TX, her father in TN and her mother in NC, Pearl, dau, age 2 born in Feb. 1898 in TX, her father in TN and her mother in NC, Robert J. son, age 4, born in March 1896 in TX, his father born in TN. his mother born in NC.-2-
The 1910 Census of the 8th district of Double Bridges, Lauderdale Co. TN. taken the 16: day of May shows: Robert L Shields age 46, he and his father born in TN, his mother iii SC, farmer, may be renting (not clear) Matilda, wife age 41, had 9 children and 7 living, she and her parents, born in NC, Brigham, age 20, son, he and parents born in TN, no occupation, Judge age 14, born in TX, he and parents born in TN, Pearl, age 12, dau, born in TX, parents born in TN., Buran age 6, son, born, both he and parents born in TN, Andrew, age 3 son, born in GA, both parents born in TN. Frankie age 9 months, dau, she and parents born in TN.
Note: Laura is no longer in the home.
The 1920 census of Civil District 7, Lauderdale, TN taken March 7th 1920 shows: R. L. Shields, age 57, a widow, he and his father were born in TN, his mother in SC, he is a farmer who rents, B. Y. age 29, son, he and his father born in TN, his mother in SC, a farmer, R. J. age 24, born in TX, his father in TN and his mother in SC, a farmer, Via R age 16, son, he and his father born in TN, his mother in SC.
OTHER INFORMATION:
WW1 draft registration card for:Judge Shields age 21 of RFD 1 Halls TN. born March 16 1896 in St Jue TX, he was a citizen, employed as a farmer by his father. He signed the draft card 5 June 1917 in Double Bridge, Lauderdale Co. TN. He is described as Tall, Medium build, brown eyes, and dark hair.
WW1 draft registration card for:Brigham Young Shields age 27, of Rt. #1 Halls, TN, born June 1, 1890, a citizen, born in Sevierville, TN, occupation a farmer for himself, single, causation, signed on June 5 1917. He was tall, stout build, gray eyes, and had brown hair.

Rufus G. and M. M. Shields sold land to Robert L. and Matilda Shields in Feb. 1902 found in the deed book #5 in Sevier Co. TN.Found on Ancestry: a Robert Lee Shields born 1863 died 29 of Nov, 1929 at East Peoria, Ill. Source was Zimmerman Funeral Home records (Lewiston, Illinois) for 30 Jan 1908 to 13 July 1936. It lists his father as Robert Shields b. 24 June 1816 in Floyd Ind and his mother as Eliza Floyd. b. between 1810-1833. Contact : unknown (See information on Frances Shields Kienzle as it was with the information on Frances Kienzle.)

It appears this family was in Sevier Co. TN in 1890, in TX. by 1893, back in Sevier Co. TN by 1902 , in GA in 1907 and in Lauderdale Co TN by 1910. Rufus Shields and Keren "Teen", siblings of Robert L. moved to Whitfield Co Ga. after 1902 and before 1910. This may have been where Andrew was born.
A relative born in 1926, remembers that Brigham Young Shields visited them several times in GA. but does not know what happened to him. He always appeared walking and carrying his clothes.
Frances Evelyn Shields aka Frankie, Edna, was born 21 Jul 1909 and died 24 April 1990 in Shawnee Oklahoma of a heart attack. Her parents were Robert Lee and Patsy Matilda Avelyn Massey Shields. Frances married Kenneth Bruce Kienzle in 1930 in OK. (probably 12th of Jan.) He was born in Greensfork, IN. He died 13 Jan. 1972 in Shawnee, OK. There were three are three children born to this marriage. Living Kienzle - M, Living.Kienzle-F- and Kenneth Burce Kienzle Jr. born 12 Oct. 1930 in Shawnee, OK. He died 15 Sep 1988 in Tulsa, Ok with Betsy Wagoner. His death was caused by Diabetes, cardiovascular disease. His living wife was a Wilson. They had 4 children living. According to a living grandchild, Frances, at an early age, was sent to live with her mother's brother Dr. Albert Massey. At age 19, she came to OK and married. "Exactly nine months later she gave birth to Kenneth Bruce Kienzle Jr." (Note, the names of the two other children are not listed as they are living and I have not ask permission to use their names.) Since Frances was listed in the 1910 census, as was her mother, but by the 1920 census her mother was dead and Frankie was not listed, it is safe to assume that it was during these years that she went to live with her uncle. It may have been due to her mother's death.
Also the information was attached to the notes on Frances and Kenneth Kienzle, therefore it is possible that the submitter was a member of Frances S, Kienzle's family.
A search of the 1930 census
showed a Judge Shields residing in Blytheville, Mississippi Co. AK as a roomer born abt 1897, he was born in TX but shows his parents born in TX. He was an electrician at an electrical store. It would be doubtful if a landlord would know where a renter parents were born. It also says that he has served in the military.
