Johnathan Jackson Parker's parents wanted to name him for Stonewall Jackson, but they didn't know the general's real name, so they called him Stonewall until they could find out. By the time they named him Johnathan Thomas, he was well established as Stonewall. His gravestone shows his name as Stonewall A. Parker. Reba Parker Marks' birth certificate shows him as Jonathan Stonewall Parker. The gravestone shows that he was born May 19, 1893, but Mary Alabama Faulkner Parker's entry in "The Golden Dawn" gives the date as November 12, 1893. His grave marker shows that he was a private in the 18th AEPO Air Service in World War I.
