Michael VAUGHAN, agent or owner of property with 35 improved acres, cash value of $1650, equipment and machinery valued at $75, had 4 horses, 2 milch cows, had 50 bushals of Rye adn 2500 Bushals of Indian corn, 40 bushals of potatoes, 65 of Buck Wheat.  Also listed $123 worth of slaughtered animals.


Dianah D. SMITH

Virginia was the most often reported place of Dianah's birth place, also was mentioned MD and PA.  Old Smithfield was in the area of Boundry dispute aomng Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. This may have caused the confusion.

There are errors in the census such as: Names should be Stewart and Agnes.
Dianah SMITH VAUGHN had 8 or 9 children; her father was born in VA, her mother was born in VA or MD.
Sarah (VAUGHN) ELLER had children, showed 0.  Stewart ELLER, third entry was her son.  Stewart was known as Stewart VAUGHN, not ELLER.  Refer to Carroll Co., IN marriage records, Book 15 pg. 128, 1 Han 1910, marriage of Stewart E. VAUGHN to Ida M. TURNER.  Refer also to 1910 Census, White Co.,IN in which Dianah D. Vaughn is living with Stewwart and Ida VAUGHN.  Records at White Co., IN (G-2R 142) show Agnes was the daughter of Sarah and Birchard ELLER born 5 Nov 1895.  Thsu, both the children listed here were hers.  ELLER's full name was Luther Birchard ELLER.  Carrol Co., IN records show teh following marriage for Sarah VAUGHN:  Book 9 p. 531, 20 Oct 1890 - Sarah VAUGHN to James L. (Lawrence) COX; Book 10 p. 330, 19 Jan 1895 - Sarah M. VAUGHN to Luther B. ELLER.  Carrol Co., IN is next to White CO.
