John HOUGH Sr.

NOTE from Opal Lousin, 3 Dec 1992.   ..."There are several volumes of
Hough lineages by a man named Hough for different parts of U.S.  He is not
cooperative with information so have to see the volumes in which we are
interested.
   Further, she wrote in another letter: ..."John Hough of Hough, in the
County of Chester, yeoman and Hannah, his wife arrieved in this river in the
9th mo. 1683 in the ship "Friendship" of Liverpool, the Master Robert Crosman
with child John Hough, their child and servants George Glaire and Isabel, his
wife, to serve 4 years; George Glaire, their child till 21; and Nathaniel
Watcugh & Thomas Hough to serve 4 years each.  THis statement about the
migration is from "Emigrants to penn." by Tepper.   ... The river was of
course, teh Delaware."


John HOUGH

    John Hough was listed as Yeoman from Hough, Wilmslow Parish, Cheshire,
England.  Settled Middletown, Bucks Co., PA.  Arrived in Penn. 9th mo. 1683 on the ship, "FRIENDSHIP" with his son, John and five servants.  He was a member of Middleton MM, later of Fall MM.  He was also a member of the Provincial Assembly of Bucks Co., 1710.  Letters of Administration granted 1-20-1732 to son John.


John (Huff) HOUGH Jr.

Moved to Brunswick Co., Va.


Sarah HOUGH

The old Quaker date apparently was 4-31-1701, that does not quite
coorelate with 31 April but most the dating was approximately 2 months later.
