This newspaper article gives an account of what led up to the shooting
of D.H. Kooken by A.H. Harris.  The shooting took place on Monday,
October 11, 1886 in Pleasant Twp. near Belmond, Wright Co., Iowa. Two
relatives were with Kooken at the time of the shooting.  They were
Palmer and Cook.
