Thanks for your note. I'm glad to share with you, although it sounds like you have much more to share than I do.
A little background. I inherited some genealogy from my parents for my side of the family. My husband, Frank Tuning, is the one from the Bales, Ellis, Tuning side. While he is interested, I'm the one who does the research and computer work. His sister and a couple of cousins worked on their family trees for several years - I really only began a year or so ago, with the help of what they had done.I'll attach the family group sheet as I have it for John Blackburn and Sarah Ann Hiatt Bales, my husband's great grandfather. I'll also include one for Francis Marion and Arie Ellis Bales' family. On the latter one you'll notice that two of their daughters were adopted - Etta Lea, my husband's grandmother, was one of them. Prior to her death she had done some research about her adoption, hoping to find her twin sister, but we never saw the research she did. Perhaps there is some information on her birth parents in the documents you have. Franks side of the family received no documents or photos.
Franks grandfather, Orville Tuning, was also related to the Ellis family. As you know, there were a lot of inter-connections between families in the Quaker church.
I show Samuel Hiatt (b. 30 Jul 1805, Guilford Co., NC - d. 7 Sep 1887, Penn, Jefferson Co., IA) and Susannah Lydia Paxson. Samuels parents were Isam Hiatt )1776-1842) and Mary Irwin (1778 - ). Isam's parents were William Hiatt (1742 - ), and Charity Williams (1750 - )
Thanks again for the contact.
