Edward Feagans of Fayette County, OH, died intestate, April 7, 1855.
Children of Edward were Willis, Catherine wife of George Cline of Fayette Co.;
Sarah Feagans of Fayette Co.; Violet Mark late Feagans wife of Managum M. Mark;
Naomi Hallern late Feagans wife of Samuel Hallern and Leonard Cline has bought
the interest of Violet Mark, Naomi Hallem and Leonard; Elizabeth Feagans is the
widow; Petition was made by Moab Henkle, Samuel Bryant and Peter Brown."Comment by Martin Blau: "I made a copy of one page. It was a thrill to find
the parents of Violet, Lettie or Letitia Feagins Mark. That Violet bit threw
me for a while. One helper suggested she had two names. On a film of Fayette
Co Marr. records I found her marriage record to Mannigan and she was Lettie.
Cemetery record and Obit in Marion Co. was the same but census records she was
letitia. I guess we just take our choice. I copied almost 2 pages of assorted
Mark, Feagins and Figgins marriages. I found Willis Catherine and Lettie but
not Naomi. Apparently Sarah never married. . . ." M.Blau - 27 Mar 1988.
MY NOTES: Sarah Feagans had a son per Willis Feagans. In his will he named as
alternate beneficiary ". . .the youngest son of my half sister Sarah Feagans,
named Willis Feagans . . ." Nephes Willis was probably born out of wedlock.
