Lavinia HodstonMrs. Lavinia Hogston, wife of Isaac Hogston, and daughter of William and
Sarah Montgomery, was born April 12, 1846 and departed this life, January 15,
1927, aged 80 years, 9 months and 3 days.
Surviving the deceased is the bereaved husband, one son, Allen R. Hogston, of Grand Rapids, Mich., Mrs. Sarah A. Thompson, of Glendale Calif., and Mrs. Harriett E. Parker of Portsmouth, Va. and one brother, Mr. Middleton
Montgomery, of Modoc, Ind., and ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren
and a host of relatives and friends are left to mourn her death.
Mrs. Hodston died at the home of Mrs. Parker, of Portsmouth, Va., where she had made her home for the past fourteen years, where she had made several
friends and neighbors.
Interment was at Portsmouth, January 17, at 2 pm on account of the feeble
condition of the husband.

Middleton Montgomery, 78, died at his home north of Modoc last Wed. of
cancer of the throat. Funeral services were held by the Reb. Zelma Mills, Friday afternoon at Five-Points, north of Winchester. He leaves 2 children, Jessie and Bessie, both at home.
S/o Miles Hogston and Hannah Price. They lived in Spartonsburg, Ind.
Probably farmers.
