Temple EDWARDS

  Lived near Mooreland, Henry Co., IN.  Temple was born in Guilford Co., NC and drove oxen pulling a covered wagon at the age of 15 with four other younger brothers and sisters and his widowed mother from NC to Mooreland,Henry Co., IN.  The Edwards line descends from famed Johnathan Edwards, et al.  Tradition indicates direct relation to Queen Victoria, Ceila Victoria Hiatt corresponded with Queen Victoria until the Queen's death in 1901.


Emma POTTER

   Sent by Robert Knoll.  Emma Cooper or Potter, Culbertson, a widow, D/o
John and Elizabeth Green Cooper or Potter.   Missionary to Mexico when young
woman.


Lawrence Temple HIATT

   Republican, born Quaker and converted to Methodism, farmer at Mooreland,
Henry Co., and Economy and Fountain City, Wayne Co., Ind.  Born on father's
farm at Economy, Ind. Died at Reid Memorial Hospital, Richmond, Wayne Co., Ind. of Liver Cancer.
   Lawrence Hiatt was born a Quaker and converted to a Methodist.  He was a
Republican.  His first wife was christened in the Christian Church and
converted to a Methodist.

Nellie Katheryne FRAIZER

   D/o Eli W. and Sarah Alice Davis Fraizer.  Sent by Robert Knoll.
   Born at Father's farm at Mooreland, Ind.  Father was a farmer and
veterinarian, Republican and organizer of annual Henry Co., Fair.  Mother Sarah Alice Davis, was common lineage with Confederate President Jefferson Finis Davis.  Nellie Katheryne died at husbands farm at Mooreland, of blood poisoning resulting from child birth.  She was a member of the Christian Church before her marriage.

Eliza Anzanetta HILL

   Widow of Mr. Love. D/o Hiram Hill Arcadia Cox.   Was nurse and midwife
before marriage to Lawrence Hiatt.  Died of stroke at farm home of son in law
and step daughter, Robert and Emma Hiatt Knoll at Fountain City, Wayne Co., IN.  No issue by either marriage.
    Nellie Katheryne died at husbands farm at Mooreland, of blood poisoning
resulting from child birth.
    Eliza was a member of the Christian Church before before marriage to Lawrence Temple Hiatt.
   Took small girl to raise during first marriage and continued to raise "as
daughter" in second marriage.  This girl was never adopted; Anna May Slorp,
born 14 Oct 1893 on farm near Hollingsburg, Darke Co., Ohio.  Died 15 January
1982, Loveland, Colorado (cremated).  She had married Karl F. Wilkmeyer (died 5 February 1936 of Tuberculosis, contracted in World War I).  They had one
daughter, Barbara Jean Wilkmeyer, married Norman Rarick (banker) living in
Loveland, Colo. (have one son and one daughter, both married)


George Harold PICKENS

  Sent by Robert Knoll.  S/o son of a miner and himself a gold and coal miner, hardware store manager, rancher and water commissioner.
   During their married life, they lived in La Veta, Aguilar, Clifton,
Whitewater, and many other more remote areas of Colo.  After Mildred Alice
Hiatt's death, her husband remarried Dorothy Ivey from Minn.  George H. Pickens sings in the local Methodist Church Choir and writes poetry.
   Died of Alzheimer's.


Mildred Alice HIATT

   Sent by Robert Knoll.  Attended Earlham College, Richmond, Ind. and Ball
State College, Muncie, Ind.  Taught school at Hollansburg, Darke Co., Ohio,
Whitewater and Fountain City, Wayne Co., Ind.  and La Veta, Westcliff and other areas of Colo.  Died of breast cancer.


Robert Gerald KNOLL Jr.

   Sent by Robert Knoll.  George Robert Knoll changed his name to Robert Gerald KNOLL.  Son of a first generation farmer (born in Log cabin) whose father had immigrated to the United States from the Kingdom of
Wurttemberg in 1854, now part of West Germany.  Robert Gerald Knoll (Sr) was
the third child of six children, having one younger brother.
   Married at bride's father's farm near Fountain City, Wayne County, Ind.
They are Methodists and were Democrats all their lives before switching to the Republican Party in 1984.
  Robert's family lived on farms near Whitewater and Fountain City, Wayne Co., Ind. and near Lyon, Randolph Co., Ind. in addition to owning other farms in Ind and Ohio.  Upon semi-retirement, they lived in Richmond, Wayne Co., Ind. where Robert engaged in the pre-stressed concrete industry and Pauline was employed in a local bank and men's  clothing store.  Both thereafter operated a drivein type ice cream and sandwich store in Richmond, before retiring to Largo, Pinellas Co., Flor.  Thereafter Robert has been a facilities and maintenance engineer for a shopping center. and Pauline pursued her lifelong pastime as a seamstress (including 14 patch and crazy Quilts for her children and grandchildren) which is their present status.


Emma Pauline HIATT
