He was an extensive farmer (owning about 1000 acres) and stock raiser, making Hereford cattle a specialty; a progressive, useful citizen,
and the most popular man in the county. The local paper calls him "a prince among men."

eight successive terms. Was elected a member of the present (1916) Legislature. He is a typical Wilson, progressive, energetic, public citizen;
popular with all the people of his adopted home; a large owner of City property and its Public Utilities.
