I am very much disappointed to hear that you will not be at home when we call, for your presence will be missed by myself and Alf too; for as you say hearing from a friend is the next best thing to being with them, will have to content myself with waiting ( which is a poor substitute for me) I do not think such precaution as to building a stone-wall around my heart would be necessary as I have told you before for as you know no young girl would be guilty of such a treasonable an act as to break a young mans hearst intentionally, at least nine of them will acknowledge it but as the saying goes "for warned is forearmed" I guess I had better put on my shaft proof suit when I meet the young lady. I addressed this to Landsdown as I thought by the time you receive this you would be staying there. I sincerely hope that you will enjoy your visit and when you come to Hazelwood on North Ave you will let me know. Alf has been here this evening and told me so much to tell you that it would take two or three sheets to express it all. I would not do that for I know you have another headache trying to decipher this poor attempt at correspondence, so will close hoping to hear from you real soon I am Sincerely yours H J Hebb Jr PS Please excuse this blot my little brother done that in my absence.
