Thank you so very very much!!!!! as you know I am a descendant of Obadiah Jennings through his daughter Mary "Polly" Jennings. I have her final resting place with pictures of the tombstones and her will and a record of her husbands probate stating his wife Polly However.. how sure are you of her birthdate and marriage....? According to her stone she died Oct. 16, 1854 at the age of 54 years and 9mo and 6days.
She was married to Benjamin Griffith, not John Griffith. Though he could have been John Benjamin Griffith his brothers were Abraham and Joseph.John Griffith circa 1760-1780 was his father from NC and he was married to Margaret? same age range.
Isham Jennings her brother is there with her I have photos of those stones as well . Isham died Sept 22, 1877 at the age of 72years.
I feel like I won the lottery !!!!any more info will be greatly appreciated and I have some to contribute as well.Do you have picture? that would really make my day and year!!
thank you so much again,

Looking for the list of children, birth dates etc. born to Obadiah and Elizabeth
Dodson Jennings. They lived in Shellsford on the river, near William Smith who
married one of their children Ruth Jennings. Looking for possible sibling to
Ruth, Mary "Polly" Jennings, born 1800 Married Benjamin Griffith in TN had three
children John, Obadiah and Tolbert before moving to Shelby co IL in 1829. Isham
Jennings born in 1805 may be a brother to Mary "Polly" Jennings he married
Francis"Fanny" Smith daughter of Peter and Fanny Smith of NC, . They also
located to IL with the Griffiths in 1829 and are buried there with them. Any
information is greatly apprciated. thank you

> Dear David,The Greenham Geneaology info I have is;
Charles Dodson Sr (1) to Thomas Dodson Sr.(3) to Greenham Dodson
(19).......
Greenham Dodson (19)Born C1720. Married to Elinor Hightower C1739,
father of John Hightower in Richmond County Va. Children as follows;
Judith Dodson (75) B 6 Jan 1741, Hightower Dodson (76), Thomas Greenham Dodson
(My Progenitor) (77), George (George the Preacher) (78), William (79), and
Eleanor (80) I suspect you have your lineage all the way to your point.I have about a page from the Lucas description of Greenham in Virginia
but I suspect your research is considerably past me. The first Dodson I have
documented was John Dodson, a passenger in 1607, on the ship, the "Ann"
(Virginia Mag. of History, Vol 23, p11, with minutes in the Council and General
Court, 1622, and 1629. It was reported (ink folio 105 and 106) a description of
complaints on the boat for the " fortnight or three weeks abourde before they
had any breakfast allowed". This remaining description covered the difficulties
of a long trip. The Ege lineage gave the Dodson ancestor of John Dodson to be
the sons of Jesse and William but to date I only have assumptions. We may never
find the John Dodson or (Dods) answer.This past year I have spent my time working to finish a historical novel of
the Civil War that occured along the Mississippi River and St. Louis area. I'm
editing Chapter 14 with only two more to go, so I'm near the end. For that
reason I have slipped away from my geneaology work. Sorry, but I'm not much
help.Best Regard..........Burt
