Notes: From an unnamed and undated article located in the Lamar County Genealogical Society Library, in the Taylor Collection, Box D. 'Oscar Dunagan, 67, of 447 Fitzhugh Ave., died of a heart attack Friday afternoon while on a deer hunt near Mason. He had been a ginner and farmer here. His death occurred between 3 and 4. p.m. Friday. The funeral will be held here Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home. The Rev. R. A. Partlow of First Presbyterian Church and the Rev. Walter Horn of Central Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be made in Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Louis Williams, Morgan Johnson, Roy Johnson, Robert Swaim, Boone Richards, Goebel Baxter, Charles Shelton and Col. J. M. Caviness. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Mary B. Estes; and a brother, Gaither Dunagan of Blossom; and several nieces and nephews. He was born Nov. 11, 1882. on Rt. 5, Paris, son of the late J. C. and Minerva Crenshaw Dunagan. He attended school at Atlas, and Professor Downer's school and Paris Commercial CoLlege here and a military academy in Lexington, MO. He had been owner and operator of the Dunagan Gin nearly 2 years, and for nearly that long had been a sand andgravel contractor. Farming and the cattle business had been his lifelong pursuits, however.' *On the same stone with May Belle Dunagan.

Notes: See Mary B. Estes Dunagan Ritchey. First married to Oscar Dunagan. See his record. *THE PARIS NEWS, 5 Aug 1963. 'Mrs. W.G. Ritchey, 3170 Margaret St., elder daughter of Mrs. George B. Estes, who died 29 Jul passed away Monday at 11:55 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital here, after six weeks serious illness. The funeral, Wednesday at 4 p.m., will be conducted in Fry and Gibbs chapel by the Rev. Clayton Forthman, of First Presbyterian Church, where Mrs. Ritchey had been a member since childhood. Interment will be made in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Ritchey, the former Miss Mary Beatrice Estes, daughter of George B. and May Alberta (McCulloch) Estes, was born at Brookston. The family moved to Paris in 1912, and she attended schools here. She was a member of the Presbyterian Women of the Church and the Mary Daniel Sunday School Class, and of Lamar Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and also the Eastern Star. On 16 Jan 1935, she married Oscar Dunagan, who died 18 Nov 1949. Her marriage to Mr. Ritchey took place 14 Apr 1962. Besides her husband, she leaves a sister, Mrs. Thomas C. Haynes, Paris, and two brothers, Otis T. Estes and Loyce G. Estes, Dallas, and several nieces and nephews.' *Buried near Thomas Campbell Haynes.
