NOTE: Louise Thompson was Joan Rae Dunagan Kirk's mother. She and Lester divorced when Joan was eight years old, about 1940. She married many times and died of unknown causes. She was living in a basement apartment in Kansas City and was found dead with a large bump on her head. It was not known if the bump was from a fall or if there was foul play involved. The police concluded no foul play and no autopsy was run. She was buried at Forest Hill Cemetery (originally located in mid-town Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee.
