Alvie Oris DUNNAGAN (DOAS)

Notes: THE PARIS NEWS, 21 Dec 1956: 'Alvis O. Dunagan, 1823 E. Cherry St., longtime department store employee, died in a Paris hospital, Friday at 2 p.m. after about a year's illness. Funeral services, Saturday at 10:30 a.m. will be conducted at Fry and Gibbs chapel by the Rev. Crowley Bridges, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Son of the late S. B. and Ruthie May (Craig) Dunagan, Alvie Oris Dunagan was born in Atlas community, Lamar County, 21 Mar 1894. He attended Atlas school and Paris High School. He married Miss Pauline Vise here, 30 Jun 1915, and they lived in El Paso the following year. They then returned to Paris, remaining here ever since. He became a department store employee at an early age, and was a department mangater for the old Perkins Brothers Store here, later joining Belk's Department Store in similar capacity. He was a member of First Methodist Church. Surviving besides his wife are these children: the Rev. Blake Dunagan, and Mrs. R. J. Haynes, Jr. both of Paris, and Mrs. A. D. Koger, Greenville; four grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Blake Lee and Mrs. Edwin White, Sr., both of Paris.' *Tombstone is inscribed, 'Alvie O. Dunagan.'


Wilma DUNNAGAN (DOAS)

THE PARIS NEWS, 11 Nov 1969.

Mrs. Blake K. Lee, 70, 1130 Lamar Avenue, was dead on arrival at a local hospital, 11 Nov 1969 at 11 a.m. Services will be held 13 Nov, at 2 p.m. in the Fry and Gibbs Chapel with three ministers officiating; the Rev. Homer Fort, Rev. Blake Dunagan, and Rev. Thom Metcalf. Burial will be made in Evergreen Cemetery. The former Miss Wilma Dunagan, Mrs. Lee was born 2 Nov 1899 at Atlas community of Lamar County. She was the daughter of S.B. Dunagan and Ruthie Craig Dunagan. She married Blake Lee on 19 Aug 1920. Mrs. Lee was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Lee is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. James M. Stallings, Pampa, Texas; two grandchildren, Sara Lee Stallings and Jimmy Stallings of Pampa. Also one sister, Mrs. Edwin White, Sr., Paris, and several nieces and nephews.' *On the same stone with Blake K. Lee. Married Blake K. Lee.
