This James is NOT James Felix Wortham who was reportedly shot in Tennessee as
suggested by Bill Wortham. It's a fascinating story, deserving more research.
NOTE: Computer scan shows a cousin - FELIX WILSON, son of Elizabeth & Samuel.

Sidney Payne (Priestley?) WORTHAM
Much of the data used in this assemblage is from a Mrs. Sacahetti last listed
as living at 27517 12th Place South Kent, Washington 98032. An inquiry of the
telephone number turned up no person or persons by that last name. It is very
likely that she may have moved or passed away as of 12/17/94. She claims that
this Sidney is a Sidney PRIESTLEY Wortham, disputed by descendant/genealogist
Fairy B. Edwards. The notation is included for future reference.

Mary Emeline (Emalineellen?) SCOTT
From the records of Mrs. Sacehetti - 27517 12th Place South - Kent, WA 98032
Folklore repeated in "The Wortham Connection", page 39 says that Mary Emaline
once buried a pot of gold on their farm near Nacogdoches. It is said that her
ghostwill appear and warn you away. When she died, Sidney built a cypress
shed over her grave so that the rain would never fall on her.
The building remains to this day, in good repair.
