Came to Panola County in 1874 and settled near Brushy Creek, not far from Gary, TX


James A. HUMPHREYS

MILITARY: Civil War pension #16810.


John Conrad DUNNAGAN (DOAS)

Involved in numerous businesses; including a Coca-Cola bottling plant, a TV station and a savings and loan association.

Died in Dallas hospital.  Don't know why he was there.


William ELLIS

Had 10 children


Robert James ELLIS

Came to Cross County, Arkansas in 1856.

Civil War veteran, wounded.

Sold farm in 1865 and moved to Shelby County, Tennessee.  Returned to Cross County in 1871.

Buried in Tyer Cemetery
